Computer maintenance will provide the student with hands on experience configuring, repairing, maintaining and setting up computers. Students will acquire a background in installing network cabling and working on network systems. Students will gain added experiences working with and for the school’s system-wide Technology Coordinator. Upon completion of this course students will exhibit an understanding of a complete computer system, how to trouble shoot software as well as hardware problems. Students will have a basic understanding of a network system and how to connect a computer to network system via cabling. Students will create and maintain their own web page. Working with various technologies, software, and topics within the high school community, students will be the interactive source providing continued coverage and updating of their web page. Students will learn and put into practice various techniques used in the development of a professional web page. Upon completion of this course students will have gained the training, experience, skills, and confidence to construct and publish a web page. RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Computer Science I (1 credit) |
