This course will expose students to problem solving, lifelong safety awareness, use, operation and respect of machinery, integration of mathematical and scientific principles and the introduction of project design and planning. (1 Credit)

   
{742} FABRICATION TECHNOLOGY II (10-12)  

This course is a more advanced look at Fabrication Technology. Students will select, plan and develop projects that incorporate sophisticated and complex fastening techniques that challenge past skills and experience. Students will participate in a mass production manufacturing project requiring development of plans, procedures and processes challenging students to direct the process from formulating an idea to dissemination of the product.

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Fabrication Technology I (1 Credit)

 

   
{743} FABRICATION TECHNOLOGY III (11-12)  

This course is offered only to those students who have successfully completed Fabrication Technology II with the focus on skills acquired in Fabrication Technology I and II. Students will develop and maintain a portfolio encompassing pictures, progress reports, and written log indicating materials used, their costs and timeframes in completing segments of, as well as the finished project. Students willing to enroll should be proficient with the tools, machinery and safety procedures and requirements found in the technology lab, be self-directed and incorporate individual design where applicable.

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Fabrication Technology II (1 Credit)
