The North Smithfield Jr.–Sr. High School English Department would like to announce its summer reading program for 2008-2009. By selecting the appropriate button below,  you will find a book list which identifies many book titles of various genres. Please help your child choose at least two novels to read which match both his/her interest and reading level. Some titles may have mature themes or content; your signature on the Parent Verification Form, states your acceptance of his/her selections. We anticipate that adults will also find many of the books on the list interesting. What better way to encourage your child’s love of literacy than to read along with him! We ask that you engage your child in conversation regarding the novels’ various themes, characters, and plots.
