This course presents an overview of Forensic Science and introduces students to possible career pathways in law enforcement and many disciplines in applied Forensic Science. Forensic Science connects the crime laboratory the police and judicial systems. The course is dedicated to the students understanding of the significance of Forensic Science from a historical point of view and as this discipline is currently applied. The students will have experience in the application of accepted analytical techniques that are currently used in the field. This course connects the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. The course is aligned with National Science Standards.
