May 26, 2011
Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
Thanks to all of you and your children for attending last night. It was warm, and frankly I had hoped for a good turnout but never expected the packed house.
I honestly don’t believe all of the students that attended really needed points on a quiz grade, but to see them there with you to hear that message meant a great deal to all of us that work with your children on a daily basis.
If you could - I would like to hear from you. Please consider completing the very short feedback survey [above]. I encourage you to do so with your child so both you and I can also see what their thoughts are.
“Dr. Larry” will be sending me additional documents he mentioned and showed last night for your parental use. Keep checking our web site. As soon as we receive them, we will put them up.
We WILL be doing more on this issue as well as “bullying” in the near future. We have an “anti-bullying” work group this year that is looking at everything - policies, prevention, intervention, consequences, etc. You will hear more from them in September.
Thanks again for your attendance last night.
As promised, please peruse the documents below provided by Dr. Filippelli. They were mentioned or presented at last evening's workshop and are being provided for parental use. Also, included is his PowerPoint presentation. If you were unable to attend the workshop, you may find this information invaluable. Thanks again to Dr. Filippelli for sharing this important information with our school community and presenting on May 25th.
