Pre-School Placements

For Pre-school placement, a student must have scored 1.5 Standard Deviations below the norm in two or more areas or two Standard Deviations below the norm in at least one area of development, in accordance with RI Regulations Governing Children with Disabilities. 

For students requiring less restrictive settings, Walk-In services may be recommended.

Students who fail any Child Outreach screen are not eligible for a Pre-School placement as a peer model.   

IEP Students  are not eligible for a pre-school placement as a typically developing peer; rather, an IEP student's programming, placement, and services are determined by the IEP Team.
