November 10, 2011 - The North Smithfield School Department, in conjunction with Aramark, HAS LAUNCHED the MyNutriKids.com on-line pre-payment system for the North Smithfield breakfast and lunch programs. Moving forward, this program will not only allow parents to make secure payments to their children’s lunch accounts, but will also offer many other benefits including increased accountability when dealing with the school lunch program.   A brief overview of the MyNutriKids.com features is provided below:

• Safe and secure payments: MyNutriKids.com allows parents to make payments to their children’s lunch account through the use of an existing PayPal account or by credit card (these payments will be assessed a $1.75 fee once per transaction).   Payments can still be made via check or cash at the school.  ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENTS: Please put all cash or check prepayments in an envelope with your child's name and grade on the outside.
  
  
• Increased Accountability: Whether parents choose to make payments through the online system or if they continue to prefer cash or check payment, the MyNutriKids.com allows parents to see the balance of a child’s account at any time including all deposits and withdrawals – this essentially enables MyNutriKids.com to act as a receipt system.
   
• Account Monitoring:  Setting up an account on MyNutriKids.com is easy and free. Parents can use the site to view all account transactions of their students. Online payments are not required in order for a parent to set up and maintain a MyNutriKids.com account.
   
• Low Balance Reminders:MyNutriKids.com is a great way to ensure that there is always money on a child’s account. By setting up a MyNutriKids.com account, parents can choose to have “low balance reminders” sent by email once their children’s accounts reach a certain point.

MyNutriKids.com IS FREE TO ALL PARENT/GUARDIANS regardless of whether they use the prepayment option.  We are confident that MyNutriKids.com will greatly enhance the communication between parents and the foodservice department and will solve many of the previous years issues.
